Monaco praised Mika Biereth says ” Everybody loves our Gunner” after he scored a hat-trick in the first half against Reims on Friday night. He got his third goal just six minutes into the second half, making it his third hat-trick in February. Since joining from Sturm Graz in January, he has scored ten goals in ten games.
Biereth, who was born in London and plays for Denmark’s under-21 team, has scored as many goals as Arsenal in the Premier League since his move. Arsenal sold him for about £4 million last summer, but Monaco paid more than double that in January. So far, it looks like a great deal.
Biereth is the top scorer in Europe’s big leagues this year and has equaled a 70-year-old record in France by scoring three hat-tricks in his first seven league games. He is also just one goal behind Folarin Balogun’s total for Monaco, even though he has played far fewer matches.
