Celtic wants to strengthen their squad for the next campaign, and therefore, the Scottish champions are interested in signing two talented players, Chris Mepham from Bournemouth and Daniel Amartey from Besiktas.
The absence of Joe Hart who retired at the end of his three-year term in Celtic is really felt in the team’s goalkeeping. There are numerous players that have been associated with the club as possible successors, the list are Caoimhin Kelleher, Andriy Lunin, Ugurcan Cakir, and Anthony Patterson. But it seems there is a new goalkeeper in the block now. De Gea, the ex-Manchester United goalkeeper, has also been rumored for a possible move to Celtic.
Same time, Celtic is considering their options in the defensive line as well. Wales center-back, Chris Mepham is said to be one of the players that the club has been eyeing for the summer transfers. Mepham, who is still in the age of signing his prime years contract, can be signed for £8 million only, because he has a one-year contract left with Bournemouth and has not featured in most game last season.

Also, Celtic has placed a bid for Daniel Amartey, who is a player at Besiktas, a Turkey football club. Amartey just joined the club last summer, but it seems his tenure at Besiktas is already in jeopardy after a subpar season. The 26 year old must have option of Defensive Midfielder/Right Back/Center Back and could prove to be an asset to the celtic team.
Given the history of Celtic showing interest in Amartey in the past, it is hoped that they will now finally be able to sign him. Should Amartey move to Celtic?.
