Since Pep Guardiola took charge of Manchester City in 2016, the club has seen many changes, with players coming and going. Under his leadership, City have enjoyed incredible success, winning several Premier League titles and even the Champions League.
One of the latest additions to the squad, Brazilian winger Savinho, has shared how grateful he is to be part of such a successful team.
In a recent interview with the club’s media, Savinho opened up about how much it means to him to play for Manchester City.

“For me, it’s a dream come true to be here,” the 20-year-old said. “Every player dreams of being at a big club and getting the chances I’ve had. I feel lucky to be here with the best coach and the best players in the world.”
His words show just how much he values the opportunity to play for a top team and learn from the best.
Savinho joined City from Troyes in July for a fee of £33 million. Since then, he has played 18 matches in all competitions and provided five assists. However, he is still waiting to score his first goal for the club.
City coach Gareth Taylor praised the young winger’s skills and potential earlier this season.
“He’s very talented; you can see that,” Taylor said. “He always puts defenders under pressure. Once he gets that first goal, it could give him the confidence to reach another level because we know he’s capable of so much more.”
Playing under Pep Guardiola is a dream for many footballers. The City manager has turned players like Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez into stars, and Savinho could follow in their footsteps. Guardiola’s focus on improving young talent gives Savinho a great chance to grow into a key player for the team.
Savinho has shown promise, but breaking into City’s starting lineup will be a challenge. With players like Jack Grealish, Bernardo Silva, and Jeremy Doku competing for spots on the wing, he’ll need to keep working hard and grab every chance he gets.
At just 20 years old, Savinho has plenty of time to develop. His humility and determination to succeed suggest he’s ready to do whatever it takes to become an important player for City.
Savinho is still early in his Manchester City journey, but he’s already made it clear how much he appreciates being part of the team. While he works towards scoring his first goal and securing more minutes on the pitch, his focus on learning and improving shows he has the right attitude.
As City push for another Premier League title, fans will be excited to see how the young Brazilian grows and contributes to the team’s success.
