According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are the top contenders for signing Xavier Parker who has been identified as a future star from West Ham United’s youth ranks.
Romano adds that they are so ‘confident’ about securing the signature of Xavier Parker despite facing a competition with some English clubs. This will enhance the Manchester City Academy roster even further.
Last season, he only had a few games for West Ham’s U18s but he is one of them among highly rated prospects. In all probability, starting at U16 level would be his initial task if he eventually chose to go to City.

The decision to sign Xavier Parker is a smart one for Manchester City’s academy. Although not fully actualized, the potential in Parker was noted by City which has been successful in developing inexperienced players into the Premier League top performers.
And if Parker adapts to City’s system and training, he will be given the best opportunity to progress under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.
