Argentine star Julian Alvarez is expected to leave for Atletico Madrid for a record breaking transfer fee of £82 million, which will help on reinforcement on Manchester City’s forward line.
This transfer has had a huge shock at the Etihad Stadium, as the 23-year-old has been one of the key players at City since his arrival. He has scored an impressive total of 36 goals and provided 18 assists in just 103 appearances.
Replacing such a productive player will not be easy, but this is something that Pep Guardiola is very good at, as he is very good at scouting young players and helping them grow. One possible replacement is Bradley Barcola, a talented winger from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to several reports, Guardiola has been closely watching the progress of this young French player, whom he admires greatly. Last season, Barcola showed his potential by scoring five goals and setting up nine more in forty-two appearances for PSG.
Despite his talent, some people still question whether he can replace Alvarez. While Alvarez mainly played as a striker in the center, Barcola is more comfortable playing on the wings.
Because of these factors, it could be hard for Man City to sign a top forward on short notice, and they may need to spend a lot of money.
